Yesterday, I got a little nervous/excited.  I had several dozen Braxton Hicks contractions, one right after the other all day and… you dropped a bit.   You kept moving your cute little bum around and I felt like you were trying to stand straight up.  Or do gymnastics.  I’m not sure what you were so excited about, but it made me realize how soon I am going to meet you!  Every twist and turn you made threw me into a contraction.  No pain really, just a really tight uncomfortable belly.  Only God knows the day and the hour, but I’m so grateful and excited about what’s coming!  Your dad said… and I quote…  “I think it’s time for her to come out.  I want to meet this chick!”  Ha.  I love him.  SO much.  He played guitar for you the other day and it was wonderful.  And last night we got all dressed up and had a wonderful dinner with the ladies I work with.  There’s a lot of love here for you.  They gave you the sweetest gift that I’m hanging in your nursery today and your Aunt Sierra’s family gave us a very special book called Goodnight Blessings.  My favorite page says:  A baby… a part of God we get to hold.  Your Aunt Emily also sent us a box packed full of so many perfect gifts.  Oh, they make my heart so happy!  Your dad even wrote her a note without me knowing it to say thank you, he was so grateful.  She’s pretty amazing.  I’m so thankful for our sweet friends.  This weekend, a couple from church is hosting a little party to celebrate your upcoming arrival.  Lots of exciting blessings and so much to do as the days tick away, Gracie.  And every day God fills my heart with such peace.  A favorite verse today:  ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!’ - 2 Cor 5:17  Love, Mom
