What makes me feel most alive today:
My growing bow tie collection. I have no practical use for them, but they sure look pretty and colorful in my office.  If I was a guy, I’d wear one every day.  They now remind me of Katharine’s beaming proud father who I admire very much.  He raised a beautiful family.
Three years ago, a professor from my Alma Mater gave a lecture that inspired the world.  It still lives in my heart and encourages me to really live.
Teaching. Tomorrow night I’ll be spending a couple hours with CAFME - the Carolina Association of Future Magazine Editors.  I was lucky enough to meet Nicole there that last time I went to speak with this great group of UNC students.
Laughing with Emily.  Today it was, among several things, my cat’s birthday that I happened to find out about via Facebook.  Nice, right?  Thanks, Facebook.  Oh yes, Abby Kitty Pants has a Facebook page.
Doing things I hate doing like updating my trademark registration, quarterly taxes and pretty much anything that isn’t creative.  Conquering them feels like work but it feels good.  Makes me feel like an adult.  Doing the things we fear is much easier than the perpetual state of thinking about them.
Knowing I’ll be on a tropical island in 5 weeks.  Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia.  Counting the days.
Working with new consulting clients and getting back into my normal schedule of consults.  I love working with artists who have an intense passion for connection.  Thanks Fer and Rafa for today.
Tomorrow morning, I’m hitting the gym.  Or, rather, it will be punching me.  I’ve been running outside in the morning to get some fresh air, but it’s time to get back to the weight room.  New playlists will be created this evening.  Now playing:  Beach Comber // Real Estate (thanks, Michael)
Thinking about seeing so many great friends at Engage and taking Miss Ayer with me gets me all sorts of excited!  I’m honored to speak, but moreso excited to experience another magical Engage week.
I won’t miss church this Sunday.  You have no idea how happy that makes me.  I was going to be out of town, but decided to stay here.  I cannot wait to sing my lungs out on Sunday morning.
V3 hits newsstands in 20 days and, God willing -we’re on a minor hold right now- we get our shipment on Monday.  Unreal how fast all of this happens.  We spent a good portion of yesterday prepping pre-orders and marking all the states and countries they are going to.  Kind of like the license plate game on road trips, but much much cooler.  I think.
Knowing that whatever I focus my thoughts on will direct my actions.  “…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” - Philippians 4:8
